Ashan Vimod was raised in Monaragala in a family connected to Sri Lanka's gem culture. What started as a childhood hobby around stones and markets grew into a lifelong passion for understanding quality, origin, and character in each gem.
Alongside practical trade experience, he pursued serious academic learning in gemology to strengthen his expertise. That blend of family tradition, hobby-driven curiosity, and formal study shaped the trusted approach Ashan Gems is known for today.
